This is my portfolio and everything in here is my work. Although the website itself is accessible, many of my older projects may not be. I keep them active on the website so recruiters and hiring managers can view my designs, but one day I hope to retire them as they do not reflect WCAG standards.

I never work in isolation. Every piece of work listed here will have had input and influence from some other amazing designer, developer, or communicator.

Accessibility Work

Durring my time at Minnesota Department of Health, I worked with different branches of the organization to develop best practices, lead accessibility strategy, and provide training and support for employees.

I collaborated with our in-house graphic designer on accessibility. I used Commonlook to fix tag order, add alt text and fix accessibility issues before posting to state website.

Summary

I frequently completed web requests via the communications form. Tasks would include, uploading images, improving formatting and solving accessibility issues with the help of tools like siteimprove.

Summary

My trainings focus on compliance, culture and education, to improve accessibility across the organization. I frequently authored intranet articles on accessibility, and led classes on formatting documents to comply with accessibility standards.

I've facilitated usability tests, designed prototypes, led content strategy meetings. If it is UX adjacent, I've probably done it.

A lot of what I do is about bringing people together and breaking down silos. I make sure services are designed consistently and built to the right standards.
